Our Lord says, "Give to those who ask, and don’t turn away from those who want to borrow."

Jesus says to us, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and thieves break in and steal"

You've heard it said, "Work, but don’t work your life away."

Jesus says, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it."

You've heard it said, "Any publicity is good publicity."

Our Lord says, "Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them."

You've heard it said, "Hardwork and determination are the only way to get things done."

Jesus says, "if you have faith and do not doubt …you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done."

You've heard it said, "Money is a way to keep score."

Jesus says, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven."

Our Lord says to us, "Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant."
